thankful for....

So today when church was over I picked Kalab up from nursery and said goodbye to some friends and went to my car..Because we have guest at our home some of them went home early, so I was there with Kalab and Aubrey, easy enough,... I put Kalab in the car and went home. I went home and there was no Aubrey! I FORGOT Aubrey at church...UH.. What kind of mother am I. I drove back to the church as fast as I could. I ran in and there standing by the bishop's office was Aubrey and Sis Tea. Sister Bianco was on the phone calling Blayne. Aubrey came running down the hall crying "you forgot me" Oh how horrible I felt. On the way home Aubrey asked me if I was worried and I said YES. Then she asked if Daddy was worried and I said YES. I asked if she was worried and she said NO. Hopefully I haven't scared her for life!! I have never left any of my kids anywhere..so again, I want to say how thankful I am living close to the.....

thankful for.....

So I love getting fun things in the mail and this is one magazine I love to get....it is FREE and fun...If you don't get it sign up here. Some of our best dinners have come from Kraft!! like this

I also got a package from a swap I was in and it has fun things in it. I ate all the chocolate, put on the lotion, wore the necklace, and put the perfume on....what a great day...so today I am thankful for the postman and good mail. I did get a bill in the mail but that could not ruin the fun things today!!!

Daniel Deronda

So I saw this movie at the library and thought it looked good. I checked it out and it only had two VHS tapes with it, so i thought it would be a short show.....after the two tapes were over the storey didn't end..... I went back to the library so the ladies could help me figure this out!! It seems that there are more tapes out there and the library doesn't have them..The book has close to 900 pages so I know that a 3hr movie should have more to it.....Has any one seen or heard of this movie? I need closure

Thankful for....

As I was driving in the car today I was thinking of what to post. I started thinking of silly things, so I thought I would make a list of random things I was thinking of

--green lights--I hate to stop
--living close to the church
--school bus --3 kids 3 different schools
--wind--blowing all the leaves to my neighbors yard
--garbage men that come and get my trash if i forget to put it out.
--hot showers and soap
--dishwasher
--phones
--clean socks
--spellcheck
--seasons changing
--airplanes-- maybe one day I can get to Ut in a day
and especially for blogging. It has reminded me that you can be thankful for anything!!!!

I finished Austenland by Shannon Hale...a little corny but an ok read. It is very short with only 197 pgs and is a quick read. It was just silly. Jane (the main character) wants

Mr. Darcy to be a real man

and she wants him to fall in love with her. It was predictable.

The author jabbers a lot

blah blah blah...

she needs to get over Mr. Darcy... Austenland is just a act, people pretending to like her....

blah blah blah

I think the book was just OK.

If you have read it let me know what you think

wish list

I would love this for Christmas.. any Jane Austin book made into movie would do.

Thankful for...

Today I am thankful for....FRIENDS...I love to get together with my friends. I have not been this close to a group of girls for a really long time. I am so enjoying our time together and learning how they handle life and stress. They are great examples to me of how to live my life in the church. I have watched them with their kids and they are great mothers and are good women .....They ALL are great at keeping there house clean and organized and that is something I need to do better. Maybe that will rub off on me if I hang out with them long enough.

Thankful for....

so this is kinda silly but I am thankful for ....the library..... I was raised in a small town and the only way to get books to read was the Book Mobile.. I am so glad that the library is just up the road from me. When I want to watch Pride and Prejudice all I have to do is see if it is there, then go pick it up!!(which happened this Saturday) love it...I have checked out home decorating books and while my mom was here she made me curtains from one of the books!! I have read so much more than I ever have and it is great!

Thankful for....

Today in Relief Society our lesson was on Joseph Smith. So today I am thankful for him and the tremendous sacrifice he gave for this church and for me. Because of him I have the Book of Mormon, I have the priesthood in my home. I have the blessings that come from the temple. I have his example of standing firm to his words and never denying that he saw Christ and The Father. I have the example of how to treat others, to be kind and share the gospel. I wish I could explain better how I feel through words my testimony of Joseph Smith and how he has impacted my life.

thankful for.....

On Alisa's blog she is going to post a blessing a day for the rest of the month. I am going to borrow this idea from her and post things I am thankful for. So for today I am thankful for my fridge....When we moved into this house it didn't have a fridge. Our good friends the Mills (hi Julie) gave us their old one. It worked great until one day it just gave up. We had a great neighbor named Jack who sold used appliances and who had been over to fix my dryer several times. I went over to his house and he gave me a great deal on our "NEW" fridge. It is a lot bigger and now I can fit more ice cream in the freezer. The only thing is it makes funny noises, but I could live with it. Well today we all went to the store and I put some drinks in the freezer so when I got back they would be cold...anyway when we came back they weren't cold and the ice cream was melted! I just can't afford a new fridge right now and I just got sick thinking of the guest that are coming to stay over Thanksgiving. As I started getting things cleaned out I saw that it was turned "OFF". OH the JOY! Yeah! Relief! So today I am thankful for a fridge that works!!!! I know that one day soon it will go out on us, but it works today and for that I am grateful.......
PS.... this is not what my fridge looks like!!

Baptism

We had such a nice day. There were 4 kids that came from Chase's baseball team. His Coach and his son, Mrs. Major who gave me all of her baby cloths and a bassinet when Kalab was born. Mrs Bradford and her son Joshua. Then the Brummitts with there two kids. I was praying for just one friend from the team to come and 4 showed up. What a great surprise. My dad said the opening prayer that was so sweet and set the tone for the rest of the program (crying). Then Taylor spoke about baptism and did a good job. Then Blayne went back with Chase. When they opened the doors I saw Blayne but no Chase. I could hear him whimpering in the back and thought "oh no he doesn't want to do it". So Blayne went back and we could hear him say "it just HOT. Put your feet in there for a little while". So instead of being supper cold like Taylors, it was supper hot. My dad tried to tell him his toe came up just so he would have to do it again. After they came back my mom spoke and with such short notice did a great job. Blayne was shooting to get out of there by 11:25 and the Bishop made us get up and bear our testimonies. I definitely felt the spirit there and was so proud of Chase making this choice.

Here are some fun pictures of the day...
