Park

After I pick Aubrey up from school we have been going to the park.
Today as I sat there alone watching the kids play, I thought of all the things I love

I loved being alone at the park
I loved the kids laughing together
I loved the wind that was softly blowing
I loved the sun
I love that the leaves are changing
I loved that I found Georgette Heyer books at the library and reading it
I loved that I COULD enjoy this day

****************Please excuse the pillow that looks like it exploded

We had a fun visitor this last week! We have always loved having the missionaries come and eat with us (((some more than others))) But when they come back to see us it's always a great time!

The first time we met Elder Harrington was at the Thanksgiving Dinner. I was asked to pick up a family, there was a lot of drama involved in trying to find someone to do it. So I dropped my family off and headed to find the house. I got lost and frustrated because I could not find them. I went back to the church and was so upset that I didn't want to stay. Blayne and I were in the hall way, me crying, him upset because I was crying, and there is Elder Harrington watching us. So we ended up leaving and eating at Taco Bell.
He had a lot of time to get to know us after that he served in our ward for 6 months.

My kids loved having him come with Elder Starnes and eat and teach us a lesson. They were great examples of missionaries to my boys!

***Lori, this is one of the missionaries that would come and eat when Tom was here!

funny

The children had the Primary Program on Sunday. It was very sweet and they all did a great job.
My mom called and I had Aubrey say her part. Then I whispered..... sing her a song.
So she started to sing.....

AWKWARD EVER AWKWARD AS WE GLORY IN HIS NAME...
I started to laugh and said....

It's Onward ever Onward

No it's

AWKWARD EVER AWKWARD

Oh so funny!

Then it got me thinking of all the song I thought were one thing and turned out to be something else!

The second verse of I am a Child of God.
And so my knees are gray

Eddie Murphy's "I want to party all the time"
I want to POTTY all the time!

Do you have any songs like that????

funny thing

The Big Boys went camping last night and left me, Kalab and Aubrey home alone.
I let Aubrey and Kalab sleep in the living room for their own camp out.
This morning when Aubrey woke up I asked her...

"How did you sleep?"

And she responded

"With my eyes shut"

Too Funny!

I was in a bunco group for over 5yrs I miss it. I had to host bunco at my house once a year and I looooved doing it. It meant that I cleaned my house like a mad woman. ((ask Blayne about it sometime)) I also cooked the meal and made a dessert. I would love to host around a holiday so I could have a theme. I would pull out my decorations and tried to make it festive. One year I bought a bunch of different table clothes and tried to pull a Martha Stewart! I draped all the table cloths and stacked all the food on different levels... so funny now thinking about it.

When we moved I stopped having that monthly outing with my friends. ((sigh))
I love to read blogs that host bunco and book clubs. I felt a twinge of sadness and long to do it.

think now, with the blogging world, ohh the fun things I could make for us to eat..... and the fun decorations!

((this is a bunco sheet with a great salad recipe on it))
If I ever feel really ambitious this site would be fun to get ideas for Birthday party
So when Valentines came around this year I wanted to do something fun. I made a heart pizza... heart shaped cake and red drink out of heart cups...

I have been reading NieNie's blog for awhile and have always enjoyed seeing her entertain friends and her family dinners.

I pray for her family and think of them often. She is truly and inspirations.

We went to the Governors Mansion yesterday for September fest. we went through hay mazes, saw lots of animal, made shakers with 4-h kids , free hotdogs, cinamom rolls, and all the drinks you wanted.
This little girl was standing on a table handing chickens to all the kids.
I handed one to Kalab and said.... these are like turkeys,
The little girl on table said..... These are chickens! ............in a reprimanding voice.
The girl shore knows her poultry!
This is the Governors Private pool. The panhandle is the hot tub!
Kalab playing leap frogThe boys got to play Laser tag.We had Chase's friend come with us for the day and everyone thought he was ours.... He dose look like one of us!

I wanted to go to the museum across the street because of course it was free too. But we were all melting down and could not make it this year!

Spt

I am finally going to do another SPT...... This one seems fun because I have wanted to share some fun sites I have found!

I get so inspired by others and one idea turns into another for me! When I started my blog last year this is what I did.....

She inspired me for this project
Boo.... with a $1 frame and chipboard lettering with left over Halloween paper.

I am going to try this candy corn garland

Then I bought a vinyl machine and started LoveLettering! Wow the fun things I can do with that thing! And I have vinyl all over my house, inside and out! All my projects have been inspired by all the bloggers out there!
