Holiday recipe extravaganza #1
I have been reading this blog for a while now and have LOVED
her craft ideas and especially her recipes! When I saw this I wanted to
join in. I am a little behind but better late than never!
This is Alisa's recipe she brought it over when I had Kalab.
It will be great for all you left over turkey!
Chicken pot pie
6 Tablespoons butter or margarine
salt to taste
1/8 teaspoon Thyme
6 Tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 cup half & half ( I have used regular milk-and that works fine)
2 cups cooked, then cubed or torn chicken or turkey
1 large carrot, diced and cooked until done
1/2 cup peas, cooked (I have used 1 cup frozen peas, cooked then drained, instead of fresh peas)
4-6 new potatoes, cooked and cubed
1 double crust pastry shell (pillsbury pie crust-red box- or generic -refrigerated section)
Cook first 5 ingredients on low heat until bubbly. Remove from heat and add chicken broth and cream (or milk). Heat to boiling, stirring constantly till thick. Fold together sauce with chicken and vegetables. Pour into uncooked pastry shell. (can mound high in shell) Put pastry shell on top and finish like you would an apple pie - vents. Bake in preheated oven @425 for 30 minutes.
Serve with tossed salad and rolls.
Serves 6-8

Well now that Thanksgiving is over......
I can start listening to Christmas music.
We put our tree up yesterday and had to
replace the lights. So off to Walgreens I went
luckily they were having buy one get one free!
It is waiting for me to get the
ornaments out and dress it.
I thought it would be fun to go downtown and see the
boat parade.... Well I didn't know that there was a
Thunder game going on and the traffic was horrible!
We parked and started to walk to were I thought it was,
NOPE not there! I was not the only one fooled, hundreds of
others were going to the same spot!
We went to the baseball stadium where they make a ramp and put snow on it so you can feel like your tubing down the west mountains in Moroni! People actually pay money to do it too!
We stopped a Braums for ice cream to make us feel better after missing all the fun!

my midnight trip!
So this is what time I left my house last night.....
This is what I did
We went and sat on the front row because it was the only seats we could find!
This is who I went with!
Check out my BLACK eyes! I am in need of a little "FOOD" hehehe
This is what time we got out and headed home.
I went with very LOW expectations. I just didn't think
I would like it. I was worried that the movie would ruin the story
But it was GREAT...
The movie was so gray (in color)
and I know why......
We would have to watch Edward ****sparkle*** through the movie.
Thanks for taking me REG

Last school year, Blayne helped a local high school with their mock trial team. They called and asked him to do it again. Monday night he came home with a gift card that they had given him. It was to Home Depot a store that I frequent on a weekly basis. Well, he told ME I could use it!! Yeah me! I was looking for something and went to the service counter to ask where I might find it...... As I approached the service lady had her finger UP HER NOSE!!! I could not look at her. But I had to ask.... She was nice and I am sure she was embarrassed. But OH HOW GROSS! After I found my item I had to see her one more time....as I passed her in the isle I said thank you!....
**have you ever caught anyone digging for treasures
*****have YOU ever been caught!
