For all you Twilight fans out there (wave you hand up in the air) sorry
I just saw that they have casted Edward....
They had casted Bella sometime in Nov....
They are going to start filming in Feb 08...
Here they are (drum roll.........)
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson
Robert played Cedric in the Harry Potter movies
Robert is not what I had imagined Edward to look like but maybe he can pull it off for me

Today Aubrey had a Christmas party at school. Being in the not so Christmas spirit I did not make her cookies that looked like reindeer (Rudolf-- I was corrected by a little boy). Tons of candy came home with her including a goody bag with markers, notebooks, noise makers, pencils YEAH. Well being the great mom I am I sent her to class with 2 bags of
microwave popcorn
Yes popcorn...it did not have any yummy almond bark on it or sugary coating
NO nothing
Then I was chatting with Aubrey's cute little friend Reese's grandma. Reese's mother is expecting and is due in January so I was asking about her. I said " So will you be able to watch the baby?".......Grandma says..."well she is kind of private but the baby's father will be there and we will of course be at the hospital."
What .....I wasn't asking about watching your daughter give birth.......ugh......
I then quickly said...."OH will you be able to babysit the baby when she goes back to work!"
she said yes and then I had to jump the aid of Kalab who was rearranging the work stations...
What a day!!
will it be better tomorrow?

I finished this book at the church this week when I had a lot of time to kill..... I started this book and liked it, but if I had a choice of reading and blogging I chose blogging.... I thought it was a cute story about a boy from Florida whose dad tried to sink a casino boat that was dumping all their toilet waste in the ocean and was sent to jail. The young boy (can't think of the boys name -see how much it impacted my life) and his sister tried to catch the owner in the act. I did enjoy it and it is on the Oklahoma Sequoyah Award list. It is a cute story and I did like it.
We made it home!!!! Monday night we tried to stay at our house with no power and it was COLD we could hear trees cracking and falling outside all night. We woke up to such a mess outside. It was just so cold and boring to stay at our house. We tried to go to Wal-Mart to get a few things and it was closed, Buy for Less was closed, Target was running on back up generators so we ran in and bought a few things.... So later that night we headed over to the church to stay with a few other families....We spent 3 nights at the church in Aubrey's class room. I tried to take pictures and the camera needed to be charged..go figure... Oh the things that need power... On Friday our Stake President brought a generator to our house and hooked it up so we went home and spent the night in our own beds... Then today around 12:00am our power flickered and came on!! WhooHoo.......and it is still going.. I am alive and WARM... We still have sooo much to do, we have trees down and the limbs are all frozen to the ground. I am so glad to have my power and feel so bad for those that don't have it yet... I am sooo grateful for all my friends that checked on me or brought me and my family food..
THANK YOU...
one tree down.....................two trees down......three trees down ..........................................................

So the weather man on koco channel 4 said "We are having a historical storm".
A few days ago men came and cut down tree limbs in our neighbors yard around all the power lines..I was kind of annoyed that they piled all the limbs in our yard...Well today I am happy I could of helped ...I still have power and hopefully it will stay on!!!
I am going to drink more hot chocolate!!!

They don't look great in my photo, but....
my oh my...these are the best
1 cup Peanut butter
1 cup Karo Syrup
1 cup Sugar
6 cups Rice Krispys
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup butterscotch chips
Mix Peanut butter, Karo syrup and sugar over med. heat, melt altogether. Add rice krispys, mix together. Pour into 9x13 pan....while warm sprinkle chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. *hint...if your chocolate chips and butterscotch chips don't melt, get out the hair dryer and melt the beauties......spread the melted chips over the top.....
I think this recipe came from one of my aunts on the Kellett side....I just remember them always being at any party I went to with them......And one of my aunts didn't put any chips on the top and we dipped them in a chocolate fountain.......oh how gooooood

I wanted to share some of my favorite Christmas Treats..... They are fun to give away or eat them as a family or in your room after everyone is asleep. (wink)
I will start with.............................................
Snicker Doodles
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
sugar
Cinnamon
Cream butter, shortening, sugar and eggs, add rest of ingredients. Roll into balls. Roll balls into Cinnamon and sugar. Bake 8-10 minutes @ 400
I am not sure where I got this recipe from but in my cookbook it is in my drear friend and roommate Valory's handwriting so it might be from her.....
Hope you enjoy!!!

VOLCANO (vŏl-kā'nō) noun, an opening in the earth's crust where melted rock, lava, gases, and ash are thrust onto the land.....(or maybe just baking soda and vinegar with a little red food coloring)
